Center for Farmworker Families founder, Dr. Ann Lopéz speaks, in this new video, about our work in getting the toxic chemical Chlorpyrifos labeled as Proposition 65 (Also known as, Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986) chemical in the state of California.

Ann Lopéz joined the Monterey Bay Central Labor Council and Safe Ag Safe Schools for a press conference, on Cesar Chavez Day, to tell California Department of Pesticide Regulation that we must lead the way in children's safety.

At present, the pesticide regulators at the California Department of Pesticide Regulation and our agriculture commissioners in Monterey and Santa Cruz counties have acted much like the state and local regulators in Flint: they have looked the other way, despite surely knowing of the CHAMACOS organophosphate pesticide studies that indicate brain harms to Salinas Valley children.
